Cromwell Hospital is a leading London private hospital with the greatest range of technology of any independent hospital in the UK and an internationally recognized Centre of Excellence. Based in West London our 600 accredited consultants, mainly drawn from London teaching hospitals, cover over 70 specialties. Our main specialties include Oncology, Neurosciences and other surgical services, Family Medicine and Pediatrics and Diagnostics. 1982 Open a Private Radiotherapy Department

1994/5 Upgrade treatment machines with state-of-the-art linear accelerators featuring multi-leaf collimators and portal imaging

1995 Install a Gamma Knife for the treatment of primary and secondary brain tumours

2003 Receive BS EN ISO9001:2000 Certificate of Approval of the Quality Management System for the Radiotherapy Department

2004 Introduce the Cancer Recovery Programme

Offer laparoscopic renal Cryotherapy – a freezing technique for treating kidney cancer less invasively

2005 Offer one-stage prostate Brachytherapy for the treatment of prostate cancer

Install our first Tomotherapy Hi-ART System ®, the world’s most advanced radiotherapy treatment system

2006 Install a PET-CT scanner

Install a second Tomotherapy Hi-ART System ®

2007 Install the Gamma Knife Perfexion for the treatment of brain, head and neck lesions

Offer Sentinel Node Imaging and Surgery for breast cancer patients all under one roof.
This year we are looking forward to bringing in another new level of controlling and curing cancer in any part of the body

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

Everybody who joins Cromwell Hospital is expected to undergo a probationary period, which will normally be six months. Another will follow a three-month appraisal at the end of the six- month period. This provides both the employee and supervisor with an opportunity to assess performance and comment on progress and plan development pathways. Following this six-month appraisal and subject to satisfactory performance, the employee will be able to join the permanent staff and become eligible for the staff benefits listed as follows:
